What can you do on MoviestarPlanet?

                                                                               Moviestarplanet is a place where you can have fun and talk to your friends who you know.
Each child gets a moviestar to personalize which can be used in the movies you make, the chatrooms you go in, the games you play and other fun things in Moviestarplanet.Your moviestar can be kind and give other moviestars autographs to give them some fame points. You can also earn fame points to level up and eventually you will become a Known Moviestar on level 20. You can also earn Starcoins which can be used to buy accessories for your moviestar and things for your movies.


Moviestarplanet Safety

On moviestarplanet the age rate is maximum of age 8-13.  Moviestarplanet is a safe and secure virtual world for children to go on.It is also a good place to talk to your friends who you KNOW.


How to create a account on MovieStarPlanet

On Moviestarplanet all you need is a username and password. But just incase your child forgets their password, you can confirm your e-mail and if your child does lose their password you can click 'forgot password' and then type in your e-mail and MovieStarPlanet will send you a e-mail with your childs password on it.


What does it cost?

MovieStarPlanet does not cost anything. But if your child wants to become a VIP and buy things normal moviestars can't buy then you can pay the amount of money for the VIP. You can become a VIP  for 1 week, 3 weeks or 1 month but if you become a VIP for 12 months, then you can also become a Judge for competitions.

    my daughter (aged 8) had an account on that site which I deleted today. I don't think it is very well moderated and some of the stuff is hugely age-inappropriate.

    I don't approve of a site for 8 - 13 year olds which focuses on the boyfriend/girlfriend stuff - my daughter had some very inappropriate stuff messaged to here (e.g. "do you shag", "are you wet" etc. etc.) and some of the postings on the public forums are much more extreme than this.

    Maybe I caught them on a bad day (regarding the messages/forum posts) but to me the whole setup of the site is overly sexualized and probably more suitable for (minimum) 13 years and upwards.

    I also think a site aimed at this age group should insist on a parental consent email before a user is allowed to join.

      i think people are over-reacting! it's usually great & rarely people create hater accounts but they are nothing personal. They have a report button for a reason!! AND YOU DONT HAVE 2 HAVE A BF OR GF!!!

      Of course there are going to be pervs ... this is the internet of course. If you have people(other players) messaging ur daughter nasty things .. then delete them(block or report). I had more than 7 accounts with Moviestarplanet. Yes ik thats alot ._. ... And i have never gotten any disgusting messages like that. But i think u have overreacted because i am now in highschool and ever since i was 6 i loved internet games. And trust me there are going to be pervs.. but there arent any fun games for kids anymore..You should allow ur daughter to play this game. Yes ik the boyfriend/girlfriend is kinda to much.. but she doesnt have to one. And you seem to watch and go over her account a lot so you can just break up with them yourself or just tell her not to have one. and maybe punish her if she does. Maybe not being on the computer for a week or so.

I let my daughter on and she's had stuff happen she fixed it all without harm and shes been getting more independent. She's being safe.       There is a report button for a reason. There are also rules of msp so follow them and you won't get it trouble. They aren't perverts, they are young boys and girls who are trying to make trouble. The new age limit is 10-17 so now it based upon only teens or young adolesence where dating is age appropriate for most of them and if not, they don't have to date anyone. As simple as that.

      i started playing when i was 6 and i was told one rude thing and my dad just blocked her then i just forgot about msp and tried to log in 3 years later but then it kept on telling me there is no person named that so i made a new acount this year and i had 3 boyfriends when i broke up with one of them and they were like please be my girl and then one of my ex boyfriends started a big fight with 1 girl and then another girl jumped in point is yes some of msp can be bad and can scar a child for life like me after someone was very rude to me but just block that all away and its an amazing game and some of the cloths and talk are bad just make sure your mature online

      ^ It's not telling people how to raise their kids. Personally, I used to play it. It's actually a good game if you steer clear of the nasty stuff. Honestly I do think they need to pay more attention to what happens (the staff). You don't need to date or marry. Someone abusing you or trying to do it, report and block them. And for gods sake, the hackers. If you see one in a chat room, get right out of there. Don't even click on their profile or anything. If they message you or anything like that, also get out. Shut down your device if necessary. Use common sense, if you stay away from it and act responsibly on it, you'll be fine. If you think it's not appropriate for your kids, instead of blogging about it, delete the account, monitor their use on the game. Really, if your child is 6 or something, why the hell are they on the internet anyway? Back when kids weren't so damn grown up already, they were still playing with dolls, not strangers on a website. I'm trying not to send a mixed message, but you need to have your kids know the difference between the appropriate kind of mature and the other kind. I do think it should be only allowed for older children, and that it should make you put in a parent's email, but it's so easy to just make another email. And if they need to put your email in, they're too young to have their own. And considering what msp can be like (can be like, not is like) if they need your permission, is it really a good idea to let them play this anyway? But anyway imo you can NOT judge a game by the people playing it. Be responsible when playing it and it's a cool game.

It was a guy from my class who had a crush on her, but he claimed he was hacked. So it was either a kid from my class being a perv or someone trolling my sis and angering her.

    My cousin started playing this game, and I decided to make an account too because he wanted me to play in the game with him. So I am now in the game. I enjoyed the game the first day. Until the bullying started. There are loads of bullies out there hating on other users. There is also sex talk and lots of it between members. My cousin is only young and I don't think he needs to be exposed to that at such a young age. I spoke to him and he laughed at it like it's funny so he doesn't really understand what it all means but it's still not okay for a children's site. Yes there are going to be perverts. Reporting them is what we should do. Being with them when they play is the best idea, like having an account too, or just watching what they are doing on there, keeping an idea on what conversations go on. I watch like a hawk when kids are online. Only because there is so many horrible people out there and the internet is so anonymous. You never know what information your child could share, or what sorts of things people talk about with your child unless you are right there. This game can be fun. Just moderate it until they are old enough to be taught the dangers and until you trust them to know the dangers and to report them to you themselves. That's all.

    My daughter age 8 joined with out my permission... I thought this was a kid friendly game...boy was I wrong.. I looked thru her messages to monitor what was going on after her being on for 2 weeks...several lesbians and perverts contacted her asked her to have ...with them ( the three dots... stand for sex but they can't write that BC it blocks it) The game promotes violence and lesbians/ gays and sex....not appropriate for children, she was freaked out and did not want to discuss what happened... there was a deleted conversation and I'm concerned about what was said...this game took a part of my baby's innocence... it needs to be removed from children's game. More like a dating or chat room site....terrible and shame on the makers and promoters of this fifth.

      the same thing just happened with my 11 year old. I had no idea there were chat rooms. I thought our computers had enough child safety measures on them, but I guess MSP was "ok" since it was a kids site. My daughter's innocence is gone. she is freaked out. she cant even tell me everything yet. she wont go on the computer anymore, once she's ready then we'll log in... and hopefully I can report.
      it's so sad.

There are going to be some messed up people on msp, sure. But why are u going through her messages. That's like saying, "I don't trust u to do the right thing." Since she knows you'll check her messages, its easier for her to not say anything. But of course if u don't check her messages, shell feel more control and she would have said something. And I'm willing to bet u wouldn't have made her delete her account. And what the Frick is up with the adults calling there mature children babies? My mom stopped calling me baby before I turned 6. Also, when she is 13 I don't think she'll want u to say, "Aww... My little baby just had her first period!" Also, msp does not promote sex and gayness. Go get a dictionary. Promote means to pay someoneto do something. Msp does not pay people to do this stuff. It seems u also have a pproblem against lesbians and gays. What ius wrong with that?     I am 15 and I go on movie star planet (a bit old to be going on it but still...), and it is very rare that anybody mentions ...such things. It is only the sick minded people who ask for it that get the perverts attention. The majority of users have never had cases of sexual behavior and continue to play the game, earning fame, starcoins and leveling up! If there is ever any problem with a particular user, then you can always block and report them; there are always going to be these type of people on childrens games and moviestarplanet are trying their best to reduce this problem.

    People are quite rude. Just because msp isn't from Disney doesn't mean its bad. You guys are making up excuses and exaggerating way to much. First of all, I play msp. Sure there are some rather strange users, but not all of them. Plus, isn't kind of other adults faults, I mean, what 9 year old knows all about sex? Honestly! I will say 8 seems a bit young, but why in the world would u allow ur child to play a game that involves READING AND TYPING. I don't care if u think ur precious angel is the smartest kid in the world. That's just not right. I have seen some weird things, true, but I did report them and they were deleted, they got a warning,etc.all with in 24 HOURS.

    They're is something wrong with MovieStarPlanet! HACKERS & PERVERTS! I've been hacked 2 times!! So I have expirence!! I mean, of course I blocked and report!! But it does NOT STOP them! The first time Anonymous threatened my sister, I had to delete my person for SAFTEY!!!!! The second time, out of no where someone hacked me! Now, this one was recent. This third time, I was on my user and the screen started to glitch. I logged out, & that wasn't just for then it was for good. So now I am on my 4th user. Which is crazy! But, all you people talking bad about these parents, your wrong. It is true & to protect their daughters and theirselves, they delete their accounts.     Listen up guys - I know what I'm talking about. I'm 14 and have been on MSP for a year. (The age limit is 8-15 not 8-13 - even check the "Parents" section on the website.) So I know my stuff.
    Firstly, yes, there are hackers, paedophiles and bullies on MSP. But there are hackers, paedophiles and bullies in real life too. You can't shield your kids forever - you can't wrap them up in cotton wool and expect nothing bad will ever happen to them.
    Secondly, the majority of people on MSP are lovely. But if something is mean or inappropriate, BLOCK AND REPORT. It's no hard.
    Thirdly all the hacker fuss is just nonsense. It's got old, people. No-one cares anymore. Basically all the hackers are fakes now.
    And finally - have any of you anxious parents actually PLAYED on MSP? How many of you WANT your kids to be street smart and safe?

    There is always going to be pervs on moviestarplanet. Parents, DO NOT WORRY. Keep your children away from the bad people. And, there is always gonna be bad people online, and parents sometimes never seem to understand. Let your kids have online freedom, unless they are bad online. I'm 11 and I play. My mom lets me use any websites without her knowing. As long as it is not violent. The really bad stuff happens rarely- and there are a few people who ask for you location, etc. And bad things appear in ### and **.
    So do not worry. Can not keep your kids forever. Give em' some freedom. Block all those bad people and report them. It aint too hard.

    I love MSP. I've been playing it for 3 years now, and never had trouble from those kind of people! I love it and wouldn't ever think of quitting- until I'm past the age limit, of course!

    There are a lot of scanners and inappropriate people on this site. Yes they try to control it but they can't get everything. I would say keep small children off of it. You can see from the comments left by some MSP players that the maturity levels are very low

    I don't agree. Ever since I was on that game I was never interested in the boyfriend/girlfriend stuff. I went on that website to express my creativity. Of course, it could be different for kids who are younger.

    i think that msp should have been more age appropiate because nobody can say its a ok but you also cant say that about webkinz or cp or zoeys design acadamy or friv kizi etc just dont let little kids on it cause theres bad people on this website so if you wanna be scared for life msp will do the trick

    My dad thinks it's appropriate.
    I even interviewed my friend, to see what she thought.... a kid's view.... and my dad checked it in game and he didn't say "Get off" or take away my computer. I even told him I played when I got the mobile (sucky) app on my kindle.














    I am never going to be overprotective with my children.

    Msp is a really fun game where you can make movies level up and dress up your moviestar! But like every online game THERE WILL be older players and pedos but its best to teach ur children young about internet safety..How else are they gonna learn? at some stage they are gonna find an online game so as a parent teach them or delete there account!

    I love MoviestarPlanet. If someone's kid gets messages and you think they are inappropriate for your kid's age, then your kid doesn't get to play. There is an age limit, for 8-13/14 years olds, and if you let your younger kid play, its your fault, not theirs. So don't use bad words to describe this amazing, awesome game! P.S. am 10 years old.       Most people use that for as a extra best friend spot. And also, most people on there are like 12-19 so yes, there are going to be crushes, dating flirting, etc. But MSP uses safechat so theres no cursing and nothing extreme.

    Well, it's pretty easy to say MSP clearly isn't safe for 12 and under. I've been playing since 8, started in 2010, and I've gone through bullying, hacking, and I was scammed for every last starcoin and diamond I had. There's definetly pervs. I usually use the bf/gf spot as a best friend spot. Report all innapropraite content, and when being bullied just block and report the user. Can't log on? Check your email for a new password. Still can't log on? Your account is gone.

      I agree :) Maybe 11 and over because people then that age understand it more! not that younger children don't but it does include what you've said, hacking, scamming and bullying! :( maybe not so much scamming but I haven't really gone throu that much myself on this game

    I do agree there are some people who are pervs and always want to be rude, but that's why there's a age limit! I am not too sure what age limit it is cuz I have heard lots of different one's and if u don't want ur child or yourself to have a bf or gf just put it as a 4thie, like oter people have kindly said. I do play msp and I think its a fun game but if ur in a situation where you are getting bullied and abused, just report and block the person who's doing it! and if it gets REALLY bad and msp don't do anything, like block them out etc, then delete your acc and maybe if ur over lvl 6 and you want to keep your clothes and accessories, then send them to your new acc. its easy! :) just transfer all ur clothes etc to your new account (u have to be level six to give gifts and buy wishies etc) and then delete your old acc and the messages with disappear, and you can forget about all the harsh comments and bullying! but the bully will think u have gone off forever and they will probally not ind ur new acc but I cant give u 100% trust on that cuz hackers and bullies find people fast. just be careful what u doing

    I started this game when I was 9 and I think its a really awesome game except some of the abs pervs make but u can avoid the abs by just not looking at any abs otherwise this game is the best

    I've never personally seen that type of thing happen, but I do know that there is a huge problem with the foul language rule and how strict it is. That rule locks out almost everyone. Can't say "hard", "sucks", so on and so forth. MSP be taking everything out of context. "This homework is so HARD!" "God knows, school SUCKS!"
